A good friend, local trubador, heck of a slide player, Chris Caldwell dropped off his beloved, very dear to him Les Paul Classic. I have been working, maintaining this guitar since I have been in Nashville.
Chris sweats battery acid. Nothing lasts for a while on this guitar, not even the finish. He was an EMG endorser far a bit while on tour and had the full boat push pull mamjamma in this thing while on tour.
He never liked it, but, the tour payed the bills at that time, and EMG thru everything at Him. Moving forward,
Chris drops it off for a day at the spa while he and family enjoy the Holidays retreat of the road. The only thing he requeted was EMG removal, back to prior pups, and a setup. I should of taken some pics prior to the doings, but I was not thinking. The LP smells so bad. A cocktail of His sweat and nicotene, bar juices, etc. made it a real stinker. The Nitro was gummy. Naptha got nowhere on it. So, I wet dried it down ant top coated it to keep it all together for another 10 years. Got all buffed out and prettied.
Chris always wanted some true single coil sounds to be diverse. I ordered some cool stuff that would do it and then some. All in all, when Chris came over last night to receive... He had no idea. Smiled like a chesire cat.

He also does the overwrap on the T/P, but has to use additional string donuts to
back the strings out so the winds do not wrap over. Took care of that.

The switching alows single coil selection in single coil and or humbucking combined
then added the push pull to add another option and more. This works very well
and highly recomend it if you want that option. And it is very quiet for being single coil modes.
