In addition to his own records as a leader, he played with the likes of John McLaughlin, Tony Williams, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, and Carlos Santana. I always thought his piano parts were tasteful compliments to their songs, and he was a great guy to talk to to boot. He was getting loaded before he had to get on that plane...
