Scooter Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 The builder who made my "Superglide" (Russell Lee Davis) only makes a few guitars a year. And they usually are quite expensive. Anyway, he just finished a singlecut, but it has a flaw on the back of the neck, so he wants to sell it at a big discount. I told him I would spread the word to see if anyone would be interested. It's mahogany body/neck with maple neck stripes. Maple top, ebony board. Faded honeyburst. Offset inlays. Neck bound in flame maple. Neck contour similar to a PRS "wide-fat" but a little thinner. Duncan pups - individually tapped. All handmade.
Scooter Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 You can email me for more info. (I don't know if he wants me to post his email). Here's the neck flaw:
Abaco Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Set neck? Sorry if I missed it in the description - it's Monday.
Scooter Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 His specialty is long tenon set neck construction. So, yes, it is a set neck, but the neck is set so deep that the bridge pickup is sitting on it! Very cool technique, IMHO!
kizanski Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Very very cool! Kinda looks like the Robin Avalon I'm having made...
