murkat
Well, I am glad that the dancing dot inlays are creating conversation at least A big Thank you to Rob Rounds (Pesocaster) at Warmoth putting up with me on the custom order neck specs. Now working on the lil things.... Working with Rick at KCG for a custom made huge big block for the Gotoh floyd. Gold ribbon tape for the pickups SKB TSA case Back plates Strap locks The reverse slant on the pickups really brings a different tonal quality to the table... Steve Stevens was really onto something or by coincedence... Very musical. And when you add flutter, dive bomb, etc. the reversed angled Murkat spcl's really add this something more than straight on mounted pickups.... Very cool. Thanks for the comments. I am really proud of the outcome of this creation. J
Hbom
That's a beauty Murkat. I love the dancing dot inlays And am very intrigued by the input jack. Please let me know if you are going to enter in unofficialwarmoth GOTM contest. I wouldn't want mine to have to compete against it. Great job. Jeff R
Very nice! I loved the reverse slants in the two Centaura 2HBs and the Washburn SS I've had over the years.

RobB
Nice work, Jaye. It looks rad! Beautiful woods, finish and detail work. I especially like the inset, input jack. The body looks like it was originally drilled for a bolt-on neck. Did you fill the screw-holes on the body and glue the neck in? What kind of joint did you use?Working with Rick at KCG for a custom made huge big block for the Gotoh floyd.Nice. Inquiring Gotoh-owner minds need to know: Is it similar to the stock block w/set-screws and channels for the spring-hooks? Or, is it similar to a standard Floyd block? Will it be available for purchase?I like the Gotoh Floyd on my SoCal, but, like most floaters, it could use a bit more booty/stability in the bottom-end. murkat
Thank you all for the fine Kudos Nice work, Jaye. It looks rad! Beautiful woods, finish and detail work. What kind of joint did you use? Working with Rick at KCG for a custom made huge big block for the Gotoh floyd. Nice. Inquiring Gotoh-owner minds need to know: Is it similar to the stock block w/set-screws and channels for the spring-hooks? Or, is it similar to a standard Floyd block? Will it be available for purchase? I like the Gotoh Floyd on my SoCal, but, like most floaters, it could use a bit more booty/stability in the bottom-end. Originally, I was going to do a bolt on. But, I changed my mined about that as well as other things about the guitar. After I plained the neck shelf at an angle, I also routed a channel, then made a excepting protrusion on the neck tounge to accept the channel. Glued it up. Then using hard wood dowels to join the neck body interface even more so. Very stable. Strong as a gibson tenon area on a Les Paul, the feel of a strat interface. Rick Peer is very approachable in what he can do for you in regards to anything brass, etc. Like John Mann, runs, owns a few milling machines. Cottage small biz. He aims to please and put coin in the pocket like all of us
specialk
A monster guitar, Jay! And gorgeous all the way around. On a serious note, I rarely pay attention to fretboard inlays. The dancing dots are eye-catching. Nice call on this one!
