Bringing this to the top to give props and say thanks-- I just started listening to these about a week or two ago, and am enjoying it immensely!!

It's completely entertaining, as I'd only heard the biggest of the MTV video tunes (Rock and Roll all nite,  I Love it Loud (my personal fave,), the Lick it Up/Heaven's on Fire/Tears are falling,) and a buddy played me "Domino" when it came out, which was kinda cooler than I expected.   I remember a a friend had a blacklight poster of them in the late 70s when I was in maybe 2nd grade that kinda freaked me out, and my parents pretty much had only classical music in the house.)

Anyway-- never heard "Strutter" until ep.1 and it only took that first solo break to click the light on for me as to how Ace Frehley was an influence for so many other guitarists.   I get it now--to go into that chorus riff and just go off.... awesome.

Thanks for taking the time to do these.  I'm already on ep 9, and lving it.   Hillarious and informative, and even more fun in that most every song is new to me.

gene was going for a mountian vibe, like nantucket sleighride. the dinosaur jr version is even creepier than the hotter than hell version, plus killer solos...

EDIT - love this;
