Those are great guitars. Pull the pups if they're stock. Lot's of great replacements to choose from (Lollars or Fralins for vintage, Rios for the heavier rawk sound...)

Korina + jazzburst + P90's. That guitar is totally a flower child of the 1960's. You need to get in the zone with that thing.

I have one but it has HBs.....it is my number one. Effortless to play. I may slam a TV Jones Classic Filtertron in the bridge....

Happy Friday! Sure hope everyone had a good 4th. I went trout fishing. The only thing biting was the mosquitoes.

But that's why we call it fishing instead of catching.

Thanks to all for the kind words about my new Artist. I haven't really spent any time with it yet, but it I think it's a keeper.

I've wanted an Artist for a while & this seemed to scratch several itches in one case.

Korina was the #1 thing that I had on my list.

The jazzburst is a nice touch. I like it & it's well done, but it does seem that there's knot a good reason to spray paint a nice chevron matched korina top.

Another good part is that it has the P90s in it. I didn't have anything with P90s in it so I had that gas.

I have no idea what the ratio between HB & P90 AKs might be, but judging from what I've seen, the ratio of Vintage Korina to Jazzburst has to be more than 10 to 1.

So it should be easy to find an Artist Korina HB when I'm ready!

Now if I can only learn to play the darn thing.
