Guitarseh Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 That one looks even better in person. Neck is super nice too. Too bad I have maxed out my guitar points for the year MarkB
cmatthes Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 That one looks even better in person. Neck is super nice too.Definitely (no knock on the photographer, of course!!). That is a smoker, one-piece body and great weight/playing guitar. Can I justify another green guitar?!
peedenmark7 Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 looks like I have a green one comin" hee hee hee !
Kilroy is all about... Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 SO GLAD...that guitar was picked-up in house...I'm been SO TEMPTED!! kilroy posts..
cmatthes Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 You and me BOTH. Especially since I am now officially out of up-and-running Standards for the first time since '91!!
silentman Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Aboot time somebody grabbed that one! It was VERY reasonably priced last time I asked about it.
peedenmark7 Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 I was so enamoured by this guitar when dave sent me the pics this past spring...I saved them , every once in a while opening them up, and gawking...so I was happy when dave replied my post saying he still had it,... timing was right...hope she plays and sounds as nice as she looks!!!I like bound heads on hamers, a very classy touch, ... the green is awesome .. only thing I wouldve done different was have a first fret inlay which I/we still may do...it took me a while to get over my hamers having to be only vintage ones....kim has told my countless times theyre better made today than back in the day.... this will be a fun guitar to play and its something out of the norm... very pleased...its been an embarrassingly long time since I've bought a new hamer.... kinda been holding out for jol to say yes to my firebird.... I'm still holding my breath !!!
cmatthes Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Just wait until you get that one...It may change your opinion of the New Hartford stuff. I'll have to send you some pics of that one hanging in the factory right after it got sprayed - no hardware or anything and still taped up. I thought it was a stunner THEN.
peedenmark7 Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 chris, dave sent me that very picture , awesome ! hanging & drying..!!I've never had a beef with hamers quality... well except for those goofy neck pockets way back... [ooof I am getting old ]kim says theyre better than ever... so i gotta believe him....I'll have the green machine tomorrow around 2PM....so we shall see !!!!I'm giddy as all hell ....everyone knows I love jacksons and charvels... and have spent the better part of adulthood spending every free dime on them.....but for some stupid reason when a hamer comes my way.....old or new.... man, its like getting laid for the first time...in fact ...jol you have my permission to use that line in the '06 catalog !!!hey, if thats not a testimonial warranting some firebirds, I dont know what is !!!!!
peedenmark7 Posted November 11, 2005 Author Posted November 11, 2005 shes here !... spent the last hour putting 'er through the budokan paces....only 2 words come to mind.....F$#ck yea !!!!!!!
elduave Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Great! Thanks for the biz John! E-mail sent regarding your voice mail...
