...here are some quick pics ;) - don't look at the poor resolution of the pictures, my cell phone had not its best day. It was a great evening with great people, great meal and great guitars. Thanks to Dirk (Gorch) and his wife who had all the work and did a perfect job - can't give enough thanks to them. They made a unforgotten evening.

Furthermore thanks to Daniel (Montelovesco) for the T-Shirts - TONE TO THE BONE :)!

And lately thanks to all HFCers - it was awesome to meet you all and spend some time with you ;).

Hope we will repeat this asap ;)!

Sure it's my "real" Californian? What else? :D

Unfortunately this was the only one that evening. I assumed there would be some more shredders on a HFC meeting.

Nonetheless it was absolutely awesome to meet you guys! It was such a fun evening!

And thanks a lot Montelovesco for the shirt! And Dirk for organizing this and his wife for the nice food!

I learned a lot about other Hamer guitars. Each and every guitar that was unpacked was a jewel of its own. My personal highlights were Zorrow's 4 digit Standard and the Newport, although I broke a string (sorry for that). Some time ago I had the opportunity to buy a very similar Newport and passed. What a pity. I guess I have a new prey to look out for.

A great thank to Dirk and his family for the organisation and to all for having been together and in actual life. So for real the actual very positive spirit of this forum.

It was so nice to know each other (and in fact to be real honest even more than playing/seeing guitars + Frankfurt Musikmesse was already a lot of guitars and others).

"Gemütlichkeit" bleibt dieses Wochenende besonders ein deutsches Wort :)

I would say then maybe a special thank, from the guitar lover, to Dirk for having shown his hamer but also the 2 others which are amazing and especially the Charlie Christian pickups. NEVER HEARD such compression, power in all possible configurations....

So, if you have a project and was thinking to Charlie Christian....Dirk is your specialist and this nice when people have ideas, dreams and follow them till the conclusion.

Have a nice sunday to all...

Cheers, a bit tired to be honest :) but really happy to have been with you

Looks like a great time, and it's hilarious to see Ionel with his leg wrapped around that Tally as if he can't figure out how to hold something lacking a pointy end

Are the backs of the shirts printing with "Hamers over Europe 2014"?

Awesome idea for a get together and appears to have been well executed on all fronts.

I'm still with Dirk and his family. I'm sleeping at his place tonight and I'll be flying back to Montreal tomorrow. I'll share my pics with you guys as soon as I'll arrive home.

Yesterday (Sunday) was a busy-but-awesome day. I'll let Dirk to explain you later, but this was beyond cool. I have no words to thank him. In fact, the entire event has been a total success because of his personal investment and hard work. I will feel eternally in debt to him, his wife and his kids for their hospitality. In addition, Dirk gave me a private lesson this afternoon about how to orchestrate guitars the Brian May way -you rock, buddy!

As of all the other HFC'ers, I really had the time of my life. Sonja, Daniel, Alex and Gilles are all fantastic players and it was just great jamming and chatting with all of them. Also, the guitars I saw and had the chance to play here were absolutely stunning... and I will choose none because I just can't, sorry. :)

Must add that hanging out in the Messe with this bunch of nice people was beyond anything I would have expected. I'll always remember that day as one of the coolest of my entire life. Once again, thank you, thank you and thank you, fellas!

BTW, Daniel did hit the ball out of the park with his T-shirts. Yes, they got "Hamer over Europe 2014" printed on the back. So, Daniel, thanks a lot for the shirts, for the lift and for the Em thingy we played together. As you said, "that kinda worked out pretty well". Good stuff, mate! ;)

Cheers then -but to be continued with the pics I took my side, of course. ;)

Just got out from the airport in Montreal. Both the Hoyer and the Standard from HELL made it here safely.

FYI, I just stuffed them well inside their cases so they wouldn't move, released the strings and protected the necks. Then I wrapped both cases with nylon at the Frankfurt airport, to avoid them to open accidentally. It did the trick! :)

Now I'm heading home. Life's good!

Looks like you had a great time. Sad I missed it. Due to personal reasons I just could not go. I hope the future will be brighter, and I really aim for Chicago in October - you gotta make that one happen this year.
