B.C. Rich Parts

A friend has a 1978 B.C. Rich Mockingbird bass that he has had since 1980. The jack plate is cracked, and he wants a new truss rod cover.

Does anyone know who sourced parts to B.C. Rich back then and who could copy the existing truss rod cover?

I just ordered 80s era knobs for my Mockingbird ST from www.nealmoserguitars.com this weekend. Not NOS but brand new, from the original manufacturer he said on my Facebook page.

Met him years ago at a vintage show, really nice guy. I'd give him first shot.

The NEW knobs are like $5 apiece from Moser. I bought a set ( and a new backplate) for my '81 Mockingbird last year.

Another +1 for Neal Moser.

If you are ordering a TRC check if it has 1 hole or 3 as they varied on the guitars, (not sure on the basses).
