Steve Haynie Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 A friend has a 1978 B.C. Rich Mockingbird bass that he has had since 1980. The jack plate is cracked, and he wants a new truss rod cover. Does anyone know who sourced parts to B.C. Rich back then and who could copy the existing truss rod cover?
Jeff R Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I just ordered 80s era knobs for my Mockingbird ST from www.nealmoserguitars.com this weekend. Not NOS but brand new, from the original manufacturer he said on my Facebook page.Met him years ago at a vintage show, really nice guy. I'd give him first shot.
kizanski Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 A BCR nut pal of mine suggests this ebaY seller.axe-salvage TRC
serial Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The NEW knobs are like $5 apiece from Moser. I bought a set ( and a new backplate) for my '81 Mockingbird last year.

RichRS6 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Another +1 for Neal Moser. If you are ordering a TRC check if it has 1 hole or 3 as they varied on the guitars, (not sure on the basses).
