Tres Aardvarks Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I'd think that the spinning would cause a lot of these beers to fiz and blow when you open them up...then again, does it matter when it's Coors/Bud/Miller/Natural Light?
hamerhead Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 The more important issue here is WHO THE HELL IS LETTING THE BEER GET WARM?!?
zzzdat Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Mythbusters used rubbing alcohol mixed in with ice water and cooled a six pack way faster than just ice.Cool BeansGene
serial Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 We used to have a wine chiller at the liquor store I worked at in Dewey. Same principle as this. I've never thought of it for beer because I always have some cold, but use it for wine all of the time. Spin for a minute in your ice cube tray.
gtone Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 O Canada! Indeed! That's what happens in a country with 30M sitting around for 6 mnths (winter) with nothing better to do than think of stuff like this. The first that came to mind was a CO2 fire extinguisher also, works a charm. Damn costly to replenish/replace though, unless it's someone else's extinguisher...
Toadroller Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 There's a reason the beer commercials show a handsome feller pulling up a dripping six pack from a cool mountain stream. All the motion of the water past the containers helps speed the convection of the heat away. Ice water would work faster than ice. Anything to keep it moving.
