Tortious
This is great. And not just because it's another guitar brand that we need a pronunciation guide for. Sent along my info, though it seems likely I'm way too late for one of the twelve, but it's cool that they went so quickly. May you have a future that has you bitching about how you spend too much time on stupid shit like HR costs, materials planning and procurement, long waiting lists, not enough getting to build guitars yourself because of all that stuff and more, and you look back fondly on these days. Cheers.
elduave
Mike, your wok speaks volumes of your talent. I wish you huge success, and i'll be one of your clients, hopefully in the near future, or later. I'm happy to see that the dream is not dead, and that you get to do what you love to do. Good luck!!! Damn, Mike- you ARE talented- building high quality, boutique guitars AND cooking some kick ass stir fry in your wok... Ah, fok it...the teacher got me an F on spelling Mike, i LOVE WOKING as well, specially fried Dim Sums..so any time that you come to Quebec, let me know' Quebec! I'm in Kingston, ON. Not too far down the road. I'm in! If the ceiling has been lifted above those first 12. Which I really hope so. I'm shaking right now. Excitement for everyone involved, from those who have their quote to those who will enjoy the porn of the build process and the completed masterpieces and of course, especially for Mike. Hear hear! I'll be in Kingston Saturday! If you go to the Odds show at The Mansion, see ya there!

burningyen
Mike, when you have a moment to breathe I'd be interested in your thoughts on:What designs/shapes you plan to use. For example, in your menu you list Single Cut. Is that going to be your own twist on the genre? How much will you follow the Hamer playbook vs. doing your own thing? For example, neck construction, finishing, wood sourcing, etc.Are there designs that are off-limits because they were Hamer originals? Will you do a version of the Newport, for example?Do you have a signature headstock for the non-Explorer-shaped guitars?
scottcald
Wow, great website and great axes. I looked through the form, lots of options. Congratulations on establishing your own company. Can't wait to see some photos of the first ones out of the gate. I also can't wait to order one for myself. ; )

zorrow
Congrats, Mike. You rule! And while I pass on The Ultimate, I'm more than serious about the quote I did ask for. I wanted BTW boomer inlays, but no big deal if we can't. We'll do something else --I still want a sustainblock though. Cheers again -I'm sooooo excited about this, I feel like a kid! specialk
Thanks, It appears to be working! Just happy to be able to help in anyway I can. Mike deserves it.A bug I'm noticing in Safari: the heading of each subsection on the Custom Order Estimate page overlaps with the top pulldown, rendering it inoperable. All of the pulldowns in each subsection work as they should.Yes to the bug in Safari. I'm running version 7.0.4. It's fine in Firefox.Best of luck to you, Mike! Although with your skills, luck probably isn't necessary.

Although with your skills, luck probably isn't necessary. If you come up on the top pulldown box from the bottom, there's enough of it there to get it to work. It's only about a fifth of the height of the box, though.Couldn't decide whether to put in a quote request or not, and the queue filled up in the meantime. Which means I don't have to think about it now.Congrats, Mike! Here's to a very successful venture!Alan

cmatthes
Keep in mind that quote requests and the limited, reduced price offering are two different things. The introductory offer/limited run is for one style, similar guitar for the entire run of instruments. That sold out within a matter of hours.Custom order quotes are more wide open ( within reason, of course!), and are based on Mike's regular pricing structure. Those are not subject to a closed, limited list.

mc2
** PLEASE READ THIS!! ** Sustainblocks supplied by the purchaser could be an option, but boomerangs are a Hamer property. There are a number of Aboriginies in Australia who might argue that point
mc2
BTW.......Tech glitch on HFC site.....Ted, since you added the above guitar banner on the site, if I try to edit my post on my iPad, the old post opens but jumps to the Shiskov site behind it and cannot be edited. DBraz
Exciting stuff. I too put my spec request in yesterday morning (UK time) so before too long we'll have a new thread with the build pic's of all the Shishkov guitars. Very very cool.Fingers crossed he can branch out to an audience wider than the HFC.
ptm1diver
I got in way too late for the offer. I asked for some mods, but not really sure what the hell I actually was requesting. It does not matter, I'm probably #289 on the waiting list if all you that got in on the ground floor file for bankruptcy. Best wishes on the new shop. The Shark
Got in too late. Hoped Mike would up the offer to 25. Didn't hear anything back. I'd question a marketing strategy that immediately shuts out the majority from the initial offering. But what do I know.
