django49
That one has appeared before. Some lengthy discussion here. A specialty item. (Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but.....) List price of $14,500? Bull! I've been wrong before, but a sale at $3800 ain't likely. Maybe if it was mint and someone was in a REALLY good (or intoxicated) mood and fired off a bid at 3 am..... tomteriffic
Final list was well north of $10K, not sure about the exact number. They started out at $5K, IIRC.What a dumbass way to fill the hole on the pickguard.
The Shark
I never think of the Improv when I think of Hamer. Probably one of the reasons Hamer's not around anymore.
gorch
Buying a guitar kit for this price would be a no go for me. The risk to damage anything while replacing the knob is on the buyers side.
anotherfreak
it bugs me that the modded pickguard is the only blurry pic. I play mine fingerstyle, and I have considered putting thumbwheel knobs under the pickguard, maybe on a different pickguard to keep the origional. That looks like a 3am "i think this would be cool" mods. not on a guitar like that, "no respect"
tobereeno
shouldn't be too hard to put that tone knob back in.
