I recently put a new jack in on my '93 Studio as the original jack was loose re: retaining the cable/male end. I used a switchcraft jack for the replacement. It looked virtually identical to the original. All I did was disconnect the solder points and re-solder them on to the new jack. I did whittle off the jack clamp on the long prong so as to match the original jack setup. The re-solder was clean, no drip/spatter. Now when I select both pickups (middle position) it's as though each volume is a master volume for both pickups, i.e. you cannot adjust each pups volume independently when both are selected. One volume (either) controls volume for both. The tone knob is unaffected and still functions regardless of pup selection position. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?
I'm not having any luck uploading a pic of the new installed jack. Apparently, I don't know jack.
