Northfield Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Made a trip down to Masecraft this week to pick out some dot inlays for the Ultimates. Am going with Black MOP on the bound necks. Looks awesome. Dropped a couple of the dots, got in trouble with my CFO for loosing the inventory... they are so small they will never be seen again. A couple of other random shots.......
DBraz Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Getting close now! The anticipation for the lucky ones must be overwhelming!
Jakeboy Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 It is indeed overwhelming, in such a good way!!!!
Hamer Dave Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Whoah! Frets. And, binding nubs. What's going on with the mid photo of some clamping? Top? I bet the shop is starting to get cozy. Looking great Mike, you've gotten so far. dave
The Shark Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Dropped a couple of the dots, got in trouble with my CFO for loosing the inventory... they are so small they will never be seen again. Tell her to include them in "Cost of Goods Sold", Mike. Kind of like sliding a guitar to somebody famous to get the brand off the ground... I just keep thinking there's something we're not bein' told about the first two or three Ultimates. Just a feelin'...
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I couldn't get this thread opened fast enough! Just awesome!

aknapp Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Dropped a couple of the dots, got in trouble with my CFO for loosing the inventory... Damn bean counters......
devrock Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Tell me more about Masecraft. I'm down in the Norwalk area and would love to find some suppliers I can actually drive to instead of ordering everything online. What do they have?? They don't have a web site, so there's very little info on them.
DaveL Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I think this is it. http://masecraftsupply-com.3dcartstores.com/
devrock Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Ah, thanks. Looks like they just have inlay material. Not that that's a bad thing. Was hoping for more guitar stuff.
DaveL Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 wow... that curly wavy flame is real cool. ya gotta keep that one natural. just sayin
polara Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 In my mind that one is #21... my natural with dots.* sigh *
DBraz Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I have been wowed by the quilt tops but there is something really quite lovely about a good honest flame. That top is really going to POP with some colour on it!
gorch Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 This one is going to be very nice too. It would be great to see a group shot of the run when done if possible.
devrock Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I realize that he (or anyone) may not want to answer this publicly (or even via PM), but WHO is your wood supplier???? Is it someone in CT? Closest place to me that I know of is ML Condon's down in White Plains.
cmatthes Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 The wood that I saw was not from a CT supplier.
