Wow! That's a real nice one. Not 10k nice, but real nice.

That's the one out at that CA dealer that all you guys complained about his website that I like.

I've bought from him before. Nice guy.

He's got a number of NOS HAMERs pack-ratted away out there.

Make an offer available! What do you guys think $350 maybe? Think I'll shoot for a Talladega next. Maybe that's more attainable but $10G really. Nice looking guitar but come on really!

Not ever gonna happen. FWIW, that is where I got my Ltd Edition Redwood Studio Custom. I thought they were good to deal with back then.

"Condition New"! That's a 7 year old dust collector. Although, it is really nice!

That is probably part of that set of guitars with matching finishes created for a NAMM show. The list price on those hovered around $7,000.00 if my memory is correct.

The auction has a "Make an Offer" option. See what you can do.

For a Hamer to fetch $10k it has to be celebrity owned IMO. The green doubleneck artist was like 6k and sat for years unsold. If he gets 3k he'd be lucky, which is a shame since run of the mill Les Pauls sell for more everyday.

Didn't sell at 7k - time to raise it up a bit and see what happens...

Right. Both the studio and standard were listed on their website in the neighborhood of 7k just a few days back. Awesome guitars. Super silly price.

They may be super nice guys, but if they want to fetch $10k for a guitar, they might at least want to start off with pics that weren't shot with a smartphone. I know I probably sound ridiculously nit-picky, but I don't get why people try to sell such expensive guitars with pictures that seem like an after thought. If you sell guitars for a living, a decent used DSLR and a couple of decent lenses can be had for under $500.

I've definitely noticed a difference in my own efforts since I got off my lazy ass and at least put 15 mins into trying to snap a few good looking pics.

Been there and seen those NAMM pieces up close. It's a family run place and they obviously love cool guitars as much as any potential customer. I'm guessing they make their money selling current Fender offerings, lessons, etc., not with these type of guitars, and I think they are priced as such so they get to keep them for as long as possible. If you want to take one from them, you have to pay. :)
It's a nice shop in a cool little town, mid-coast California, which is great place to visit, gawk around, and perhaps take something home.

When I see a price that ludicrously high I'm thinking it's an advertising tool and "we really don't want to sell this",,, a conversation generator. It worked!!

I have to admit though, if I was a multi-millionaire I might be tempted,,, they really are nice.

Ask Jol to quote you a price to build the equivalent guitar. It won't be a Hamer, it won't be built by Mike and Jackass or sprayed by Gary. It probably won't be delivered for a year. My guess is it would be north of $7k. The last time I asked a Tulsa was $5600 for starters.

It's all relative. But this is a new CO Hamer, never to be sold as new again. I think Lightning Joe is holding the cards but he is accepting offers. Maybe the $10000 was an attention getter, and it got our attention. It's not something I would buy, even if I had the money.

Here are better pictures. The custom order paperwork is the last image. That is a pretty cool artifact.

The companion Standard is pretty cool, too.

Very pretty guitar!

My problem with it, other than price?

It's a very pretty guitar. NO Sunburst (yeah, yeah, Studio my ass. Tha body shape is a Sunburst to me), should be pretty.

Tough, raw, sexy Rock 'N' Roll animals is what they are, NOT pretty.

So, based upon some past exposure, that presumes the original dealer cost was under $4500(?) BUt I may have a misunderstanding of past pricing strategies and certain one offs might not have had the same degree of discount......
