zorrow
Now I just need a black guitar with cream binding to put my Shlabotniks on! the hell standard doesn't meet those specs? It does! But I kind of hesitate. To me that's an iconic guitar, so I might never play it live. On the other hand, the Shlabotniks are meant to be played. I do like their sound. Bobby Marshall
I have played a 4 digit at gigs. Best gigs I ever had. Coincidences? Just keep in the case when not playing and don't let case lay flat.
bubs_42
Just canceled my SD Custom Shop Pickup today, 7 months of waiting is long enough. I guess i'll order a Shlabotnik.
serial
Just canceled my SD Custom Shop Pickup today, 7 months of waiting is long enough. JGravelin
All orders have been fulfilled.I've still got 5 sets that haven't been spoken for, as well as another 5 or 6 sets I can wind and assemble to suit - your choice of bobbin colors. And if you want something 'custom' - just say the word. I'll extend the HFC discount for custom winds too until all my parts are gone.Bubs, get in touch when you've got a moment. 7 months?! Gawd. JGravelin
Thank you for your kind words. Truly. It might seem like magic, but it's really just a solid work ethic combined with the business philosophy of "under-promise, over-deliver". We all expect something great when we choose to purchase - myself included! I do the best work I can possibly do, in the most timely and efficient manner that I possibly can, with the hope that I can exceed whatever expectations have been placed upon me and what I offer. Honor the customer! Listen to them and do your best on their behalf. And don't make a guy wait 7 months for something that takes 3 hours to complete. No offense to anyone in the industry or anything, but that's some lame practice. Not cool.Rock on!
peterk
My set, with Nickel covers, arrived in Sweden the other day and yesterday I got to play and hear them at rehearsal. They live in my (warning non Shishkov or Hamer content) Gibby R7 and the will stay there for sure! I have tried SD Seth Lovers and Sheptone Blue Skyes in the R7 but I wasn't really impressed. With the Shablotniks it really sounds like you think it would sound when you play it unplugged, like a really good 50's LP with that special crystal clear tone and with lots of punch at the same time! I am more than happy Josh, thank you!

bubs_42
I can't say more than whats already said but if you like clear and articulate neck pickup and bridge pickup that is open yet had depth and definition this is the set for you. OMG the middle position is worth the price of admission.
Jakeboy
^^^^^^^^^TRUTH!^^^^^^^^^Neck sounds like a HUGE single coil, the bridge is rock defined, and the middle position is sweet, airy chime. Perfect humbuckers!
