95 Hamer Studio

Just came back from working in Toronto and guess what she brought? A 95 studio bought from Buster. The pictures did not do it justice. My wife and son are going to the movies tomorrow. Can't wait to open up the studio and my Marshall Bluesbreaker. Can anyone tell a computer stupid person like me how to post pictures on the forum? Thanks.

Mario. Congrats! This this the type with the wraparound and the tummy cut? I hear they are muy toneful!

To put a pic up, first off, get it somewhere up on the web. I use a variety of place, most notably Photobucket.com, since it's free and easy.

Then when you hit the 'Reply' button here, you'll see a series of gray buttons at the top, above the text box. Punch the IMG button and a box will pop up with a place to put the URL of the picture. I usually have two copies of my browser open when I do this. Then get the URL from Photobucket (it'll be the first little box below the thumbnail of the pic. Select it and copy it.)

Then go back to your reply here and paste the URL into the popup box space, hit "OK" or whatever it says, and you're done.

If you stash the picture elsewhere on the web, the second part of that process may be a bit different. While the reply box and IMG button popup box are open here, open another copy of your browser and go to where the picture is. Open it and then RIGHT click on it. From the popdown menu, select properties. There should be a URL in the box that pops open. Copy that and then come back here and paste it into the IMG URL popup box.

On a Mac, I believe when you have the picture open, there's a menu option someplace to select Properties from, in lieu of a right-click.

Congrats on the new guitar. The 96 I picked up from Al is an incredible piece of art...never mind how it sounds as a guitar (and it does sound great!). None of the pics I've taken of it come close to capturing the grain/flame or sunburst (Hamer did a stellar job on it).

Post pics!!

My first was a green '95 Studio. You are psyched!!

The 95 with the wraparound is my favorite Hamer next to a Newport. The beer belly bevel is a nice feature as well but the tone is where it really excels. Some don't like the wraptail because the strings may slide around at the bridge a bit. If that bothers you a Tonepros will fix it.

Hi Brewmaster, Love the guitar, but I think I love your avatar just as much!

I am having a hard time posting pictures on the board so bear with me.

Sorry guys. I have a couple of amazing shots of this guitar, but I am doing something wrong. Will post when I figure this out.

Mario: use the "IMG" button at the top...start the phrase with that button and end the phrase with it...give it a try...Buster

PS...I'm kind of partial to this one...

Hope this works.DSC00063.jpgDSC00062.jpg

Gah....<sound of me falling off chair>...very, very nice figuring on that top. How do you like the wrap tail?

Love the feel of the wrap tailpiece. It seems to really resonate nicely. This guitar sounds killer through my marshall bluesbreaker.

Hi Mario,

Congrats on the guitar. I believe that you're in Montreal as well, we should hook up some day.

Enjoy!

Hi Nick, Actually I live in London, Ontario. Have visited Montreal and have to say it's a beautiful city.

That's too bad. It would have been fun to swap Hamer stories.

All the best,

Nick
