These are long gone, but thanks for the comments. Ben did the clear lacquer on one of them - we're trying to determine which one.

Those are some beautiful Koa Teles!!

is the second one spalted or was it painted in two colors?

I've got a Koa one made by Phil Kubicki in '83. Top of lower bout is contoured like a Strat, like your's. Most confy Tele I've ever player. I think Phil came up with that Tele/Strat morphed body style.

Reverse headstock on a crazy figured neck.

The multicolored body is natural, no dyes or paint, just a coat of clear over the wood.  I believe it was described as spalted loa, but I'm not 100% sure.
