There may...or may not be some pics on the FB page showing that Mike was doing more than clearing the driveway this weekend!

How come every color looks better than all of the rest of them?  I'm having a problem working the math out on that.

Nice work, Mike.

The sawdust.  How many customers ask for the sawdust.

Love it! I could see myself using leftover wood to incorporate into a "matching" speaker cabinet. Reformulating the sawdust into particle board might be going just a step too far, though.;)

Heck, I told Mike he could sell that wonderful shop sawdust in sealed clear plastic cigar tubes with his logo lasered on the tube as "Shishkov Mojo" or something like that.  Heck, I'd buy a tube for the most awesome case candy ever.

Now that I think about it , a tube of that would go great as a gift along with a pair of Shishkov logoed Scotch glasses (hint-hint).  ;)

Beer goggles for the hardcore?

You could really be a part of the process and just snort the sawdust. Mike's probably got half a tree in his lungs as it is. An artist sacrifices for his art..

I like the glimpse of the flamed neck in the top photo.  Looks like the top just flows like water into the neck.

Just curious and perhaps somebody has asked already.

In the good old days, Hamer used to tout a 14-coat process which was dissed by the thin-skin school.

Anybody know where the Shiskovs are coming out on this? Has anybody asked for fewer coats?

The # of coats was not material to the thickness which was sanded back and leveled multiple times. The finish was remarkably thin and glossy

I don't know Mike's specific protocol, but the guy who painted at Hamer does mikes finish work
