I just checked out the Monaco presently on Ebay at $799. I've been interested in them for a while, but don't have a local Hamer dealer to actually play one.
My question is about the neck, specifically the upper fret access. I sold a great Les Paul because the heel was just too damn big and I couldn't reach the upper octaves comfortably. (Don't regret selling the LP, 'cause I found a '95 USA Studio Archtop w/blue flame. It kicks the LP's ass all over the place and was 1/2 the money).
Anyway, do any of you have input on how the Monaco compares to other "LP Style" guitars as far as being able to get those upper frets?
Also, what's your take on the the overall tone/character of the Monaco?
Thanks!
