Camstone Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I am looking for some advice on the best sequence/order to arrange the pedals on my pedalboard. I am running through the effects loop on my Fender SuperSonic. Pedals are: Chorus, Delay, Tremolo, Compressor, Looper and Wah. Thanks!
murkat Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 If the super sonic has a pedal friendly loop, guitar~ comp / trem / looper~ amp loop~ chorus / delay
unfun75 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I've always put my trem pedal in the loop. Educate me!

The Shark Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Wah, Comp to amp. Loop send to either trem or chorus (you'll have to see what sounds better). Then, go to the delay followed by the looper and return. I wouldn't discount Murkat's guidance though. Try everything suggested to you. You just never know. The pedals themselves (and how they're powered), the cables, the amp and the quality of the loop complimented by the guitars you play will all determine the final "product". I know you didn't think you'd get a simple answer here!
murkat Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 well, my thought of~ Trem.depends what you want it to do, do you want it to pulse, chop, thump (?) Looper. Do you want it to loop the guitar tone and then amp it, or loop the amped tone of the guitar. (the ideal for a looper is have its own amp setup.) All in all with all pedals is, A. alter the sound of before it enters the preamp/ poweramp B. alter the sound of the guitar / preamp before the power amp (loop). No simple answer. I'm old school 70's, 80's hard rock big rack full of toys head. So, I am use to having, enjoy all modulation, delay, reverbs post preamp then into power amp.

I think the common rule for effects order within the loop is modulation, then reverb, then delay.
HamerDave Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Guitar -> Tuner -> wah -> comp -> o.d. -> amp -> loop out -> trem -> delay -> chorus -> return seems to work well. I left a couple things out but that's basically how I run...
it's me HHB Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Pedal in fx loop? I dunno, is the loop optimized for that level? Many are not
