Can You ID This Pickup?

What is this? Besides the obvious. I'm sure one of you has seen something like it? It's got a crystal clear epoxy(?) fill. Stamped Oct 31 1978. Chrome top cover.

Schecter, Bartolini, Alembic, .....

All three were using epoxy at that time period.

As was Bill Lawrence. The stamped numbers on the back is something Bill did during that time period also. I've not seen a PAF style from him quite like that but...

How does it sound?!

Thanks Jay. Thanks Josh. Honestly, I haven't plugged it in yet. I'll maybe bring to a rehearsal Sunday. Came in a sweet 79 Sunburst that just arrived here. Pots are 1377851, so it's period to the build, or he swapped the Dimarzio immediately? Will report back.

Ok, I brought this to a rehearsal along with my Shishkov. The '79 Sunburst with the mentioned pickup sounded very creamy. 7.6K on bridge, and 8,57K on the standard zebra neck PAF. Very raw, very juicy. Lol! I don't know how else to describe it. Very organic. Very thick.

The Shishkov 0019 was a pleasure to play. Feels as a more refined build. Tighter sound out of it than the Sunburst.

Two different personalities, where each are wonderful in their own way. Sunburst being a bloody warrior, and the Shishkov being the high performance racing machine.
