I'm having trouble identifying a song I hear in a TV show. My Android native Google song identifier app doesn't match it, and neither does my buddy's SoundHound app. I generally try to avoid throwing apps on my phone willy-nilly because of the unreasonable permissions some require, but a strong app of this kind would be worth having. Got any recommendations?
For what it's worth, the song is in the second episode of season one of The Fall, at the 52:51 mark. I access the show via Netflix. The BBC website lists it as Help Me by Sonny Boy Williamson, and it's definitely that song. Problem is that he's a harmonica player, and all the tracks I've found feature harp solos, and it's guitar that I hear in the TV show soundtrack. So I'm wondering if it might actually be a cover. It sure would be nice to be able to use some technology to point me to the right version. Of course if anyone here knows what it is, I'd appreciate the answer.
