Yeah I have the same year model and color but mine me came with Lindy Fralin pickups installed and it sounds incredible. Never heard the Seymour Duncan's in it but that problem is easily remedied unless it's not a problem to the new owner.

My Hamer Is a 2000 Vanguard per my Hamer Card that was in the case. Guess this was the turning point to change to the Artist to avoid complications. So I guess a few 2000's were Vanguard's before the name change but no doubt the same guitar. Mine has no Hamer inscription in the F Hole, just purty sounding Mahogany wood. So the listing is accurate. I had bought a 2000 Silver Sparkle for less money online from GC but someone there screwed up and sold it to an in store customer! All ends well as I prefer the Trans Red or wine red as it really is.

It showed up as $825. Then you click and you'll see $700. Interesting that the guy jumped on that offer when there were 20 or so watchers on the first day. Maybe it's just tire kickers but that's a decent amount of watchers.

They're both SD P90s (the "Hot" (12k) in the neck and "Custom" (14k) in the bridge). I play mostly gained up rock with 'em, so they normally work fine for me, but some days I wish they were less congested and a bit more single coily. The guitar itself is awesome though. Rings like a bell. Vintage carve neck. Not too heavy. If it neck dives a touch, most folks have had luck switching to plastic or wooden tuner buttons to straighten it out.

It was good stock, but really woke up with that same set of pickups. It would probably be on my list of guitars to go as I continue to downsize IF the Wolfetones did not keep reminding me how good it really is.
