Rackmount power options?

I just received a fancy (for me) but fairly inexpensive desk that I hope will help rescue me from the truly embarrassing rat's nest of cords and cables that comprises my obsolescing IT infrastructure.  It has support for routing cables unobtrusively, but more importantly it has 28U of rack space.  This is my first rack capability, and other than a couple of drawers that I bought at the same time, I have nothing rackmount in the inventory.

In order to really reduce the rat's nest of cords and cables, I would like to replace the old power strip surge suppressors that various devices are currently fed through.  I see that there are many options for rackmounted power distribution, conditioning, regulation, protection, yadda, yadda, yadda.  I mostly have computers, monitors, and speakers to feed through this power feed.  No audio is expected to enter via microphone, if that makes a difference in noise from ground loops or interference.

What do you recommend?  Brands, features, specific models?  Budget-wise, I'm not bound to the absolute cheapest I can scrape by with, but this is no studio application.  It's just my cave.

I've had good luck with APC, both at work and at home.
They have rack mount stuff but some of it isn't cheap.
Most of the big box stores will have APC.

APC is good also for the battery backup thing.  I've also had luck with the CyberPower units and some Tripp Lite units.  If you're going for battery backup, just add up your power needs properly, better to overestimate than underestimate.  And those are really for just finishing some work and shutting the stuff down correctly if you haven't used them before.  Also, if it's a studio gear rack, Furman is good stuff.
