And I know its a travesty but here's one I  stripped myself and had refinished.  I loved the guitar.  It's the most resonant solidbody I own, but the longer I owned it the more I hated the green.  A student borrowed it from me and chipped the finish badly so I finally decided to make make it a color I like.

OK ! Thanks ,  I wasn't  sure if the customs also had a bound headstock. Looking at these Guitars- The Hamer folks sure knew how to pick nice wood.

It seems like the red shows off the curly maple a bit more.  I like it.

Thanks I can never really photograph just how stunning it really is. The color is more black cherry. I had Marty Bell do the refinishing and I can't say too much about how great his work is. It looked brand-new when I got it back. Everyone that sees it seems pretty stunned by it. And it totally has the 3D flame movement going also.

Me playing my dream guitar - a 2007 Studio Custom that I ordered for myself.

8 lbs weight limit, tummy bevel, Ebony neck, premium quilt, black transparent.

Now recently fitted with an excellent Gravelin Charlotte bridge pu... Can you imagine?

(Neck pu is a Seymour Duncan Jazz!)

The fantastic crew at the Hamer workshop did a remarkable job with this one!

(My most heartfelt thanks to them forever!)
