Thundersteel Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Can someone point me to the thread about a home stereo amplifier (I think), which is very good quality, for a good price (I think it was about $500?) I cannot remember the component or the brand; I'm looking to upgrade my system. Thank you!!
mathman Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Just do a search for JohnnyB and everything should be in that search results. Not saying this is a good deal or good unit but Woot has this one: https://electronics.woot.com/offers/pioneer-elite-network-stereo-receiver-7?ref=w_cnt_lnd_cat_elec_4_5
RobB Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I got one of these from an HFCer: eBay/NAD C316BEE It doesn't have all the bells/whistles of the Pioneer, but sounds killer with my turntable, CD (also NAD) and tape deck.
mrjamiam Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 This one? Be aware, it's amp only, not a receiver. You'll need a preamp.
Thundersteel Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 ^^^^ Yes; that's it! Thank you!! But apparently, I'm too late, as I don't see it listed on the site anymore.

A quick Google search turned up a couple, under and over Audio Advisor's price. One at Redd's Market in Ohio, whatever that is, new for $374.25 and free shipping. No affiliation here and it's your own decision, but how wrong can you go with your credit card's purchase protection?
Thundersteel Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 You must be a better searcher than I, because I could't locate any new ones for sale. A search for Redd's Market didn't turn up anything, either. Thanks, though.
