Home stereo amp? for relatively cheap

Can someone point me to the thread about a home stereo amplifier (I think), which is very good quality, for a good price (I think it was about $500?) I cannot remember the component or the brand; I'm looking to upgrade my system.

I got one of these from an HFCer: eBay/NAD C316BEE

It doesn't have all the bells/whistles of the Pioneer, but sounds killer with my turntable, CD (also NAD) and tape deck.

Be aware, it's amp only, not a receiver.  You'll need a preamp.

A quick Google search turned up a couple, under and over Audio Advisor's price.  One at Redd's Market in Ohio, whatever that is, new for $374.25 and free shipping.  No affiliation here and it's your own decision, but how wrong can you go with your credit card's purchase protection?
