DBraz Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 This first Shishkov V (is it called a V?). Congratulations!!
cmatthes Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 That's stunningly beautiful! The headstock works REALLY well on that body too. Excellent choices/design/execution all around...

cornjulio Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 It's a stunning instrument. I kind of forgot what's it's like to play a brand new guitar but I guess I never played one of this quality before anyway. I got myself a brand new Les Paul Standard in '92 which I still have and it's a fine guitar and I tried quite a few different used/ vintage guitars, mostly Gibson, Fender, Hamer but this one is in a league of its own. Quite tempted to let most of the others go 🙄 The bridge PU of the V is splittable which I find very fascinating (this was inspired by playing a 1975 Fender Tele Custom). I absolutely love the maple top which I got to choose when I went to visit the Shishkov family last year. It has a really beefy neck which feels fab. Fantastic paint job on the V in terms of the burst which reminds me very much of @cmatthes Ultimate (which we did use as a reference 😀).
Toadroller Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 “Wow! I could have had a V-80!” Congratulations! Stunning!

Thundersteel Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Just stunning! There is nothing like a work of art than can be played.

scottcald Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 I just noticed it has a sustain block bridge. Cool!
BTMN Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 O.M.GAWD!!!! How did I miss looking at this? WHOA!!! Yeah that is Cool no doubt.
cornjulio Posted July 28, 2018 Author Posted July 28, 2018 Went to the beach yesterday but forgot to take my guitar (and trunks, nevermind). So I decided to take a couple of pictures of V80 in the garden today. The top is just stunning.
Steve Haynie Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 That guitar needs a poker chip with a life preserver image around the pickup selector or the output jack... or at least something that looks like an inflatable pool toy.

It's blueburst btw and NOT oceanburst as I had said in another post before... Holy ****!!!!
