PSA: SS- eBay.co.uk

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Not mine but tempted by it myself except something doesn't seem right- maybe someone here can help?

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323146872536

Listing says it's a factory Refin.

messaged seller- asking about serial number- it is gone with refin.

Also says he got it from a Hamer Rep and that it is 100% factory refin as it wouldn't have Hamer logo otherwise

now if it's a factory refin wouldn't Hamer have restamped/ printed serial number as well as the SS trademark logo?

also the headstock logos don't like right to me-

wrong order?

a little too big?

"model" missing from SS signiture?

any thoughts from people knowing more than me?

he also has a prototype in same white colour for sale.

Thanks

Mark

What Kahler trem model is that? Looks pretty Floyd-y to me.

Steve Stephens never played a Kahler as far as I knew, why would he have one on his signature model?

For a beat up, refinished, generic as hell (now) white SS, with a headstock crack, you are over thinking this.

You are probably right, I ask more out of interest and learning- The headstock logos doesn't look right to me and I would say it's not a factory refin but was curious if I could be wrong and it could be!

I would buy it for a little less as I want a project floyd guitar (or just a good sunburst floyd)

I met the Hamer rep. at the time. NOT a factory refin -- they only provided him with an authentic logo to get the job done in the UK.

Thank you for that.

That makes more sense.

And also why the logo doesn't quite look straight and the Stevens logo in wrong place.

This is the one that was for sale in Electromusic (IIRC), or music ground about 5-6 years ago @Andrew ? Crowns on rosewood and white bridge pickup surround ring a bell.
