bigolsparky Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I was wondering if any of the HFC experts actually knew the total production numbers for the Talladega. Based on what I think I know, there were 25 "Earthen Maple" ones produced and less than 50 "Pros". So how many regular and custom order Talladegas were built. I have also noticed that FMIC has not yet produced an import version. Can they?
django49 Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Talladega Pro imports are already available. Well, in a manner of speaking......
BubbaVO Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I suppose you don't have to go overseas ... https://i2.wp.com/dantzig.com/workshop/wp-content/uploads/Tulsa-Redwood-Comp.jpg?resize=640%2C800&ssl=1
Disturber Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Dantzigs Tulsa model is probably more close than that Huber. And way cooler. Coolfeel has one that looks absolutely killer.

bigolsparky Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 Just now, FGJ said: Actually, they do own Hamer no more. His comment was a triple negative so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
bigolsparky Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 Well...since I can't get a response on how many Talladegas were produced, can we at least figure out how many are owned by HFC members?

I am no expert but I heard there were less than 100 made. I don't know if that included the Pros or not.
Gabe Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 If you ask me that does not include the Pro's. Only thing I have heard is that the total number of Talladega's is below 100 (incl. 25 Earthen Maple ones) and including the 4 I could find with a bound neck, and the number of Talladega Pro's is below 50. Gabe 😉
bigolsparky Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 From what I can gauge based on images on the internet, I have seen less than 100, but I certainly thought there were more than that. I saw a couple when I first joined HFC that I have not seen since. The indigo one was probably the hottest guitar I have ever seen but I haven't seen it recently.

There was an all-over indigo that sold on eBay last year. Mine is indigo only on the front. The back/sides look orange in the photo, but they're more natural.

Pieman Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Can we start a registry? For T pros and Tallys? This isn't much more than a spreadsheet, no? Or does somebody have a view as to how Serial does this?

Gabe 😀 Yeah. I like the outline of the Esq/Tele as well. Since this the HFC I am also partial to the TLE. But add the carved top and it's gorgeous. 😉
Boomerang~Junkie Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 If I recall correctly, there were somewhere between 30-40 Talladga Pro's crafted and less than 100 Talladegas. The Pro numbers might even be closer to 30. To know best, the should actually be a "Kim" question or one of the other gentlemen who worked there.
