kizanski
So, I'm a big James Brown fan. I know a good deal about him, but I was not aware that he shared @thecajunboy's (and my) disdain for snakes. In his song, "Make It Funky, Pt. 1," Brown's vamping begins with reciting random soul food menu items followed by his opinion on the subject of slithery reptiles. Jakeboy
JB was so cool. But I dig snakes. But not as much as Ting.
Willie G. Moseley
I've heard his hair style in what was prolly his most famous mug shot described as "Medusa-like". Subliminal connection?
Hbom
Snakes are Ok. But I really prefer chicken. To me they taste pretty much the same and it's easier to get chicken where I live.

But I am not planning on trading in my snake skin boots for chicken skin. https://exoticleather.biz/large_views/chicken_leather/hcc210_brown.htm
mudshark
When I got out of the Army in 1973, I went to work for an industrial paint company with a crew of black guys. We had a job in Iowa, and all the way there and all the way back to Texas we listened almost exclusively to James Brown. It was great. I don't think folks nowadays realize how big he really was in those days. I saw him a couple of times in the '60s with the Famous Flames, and the shows were smokin'.
