Me and Jeffro discuss Loudness

I was really hoping this was going to be a discussion about the merits and disadvantages of boosting low and high frequencies in order to compensate for the perceived exaggeration of mid frequencies by the human ear when listening to music at lower volumes.  That what have been really wild - a real missed opportunity here.

I'm not a Loudness fan, I'm an 80s Akira Takasaki tones fan. TITE hooked me and Lightning Strikes, man I could listen to that daily. It hits shop rotation at least one day monthly. Hell, if you saw my personal rig, old ESPs and a Boogie Mark III half stack, I do listen to LS daily in a way haha.

Oddly enough, I had never even heard the record we reviewed until I agreed to take part. So that was cool for me.

I owned Thunder in the East and Lightning Strikes a loooong time ago.  They were awesome.

I've got Lightning Strikes downstairs.  Or at least it better be there; otherwise it's lost and gone.  Not that I've played it in the last 25 years...

Ima go check.
