MCChris
Somehow I got rooked into listening to an entire Loudness album and discussing it at length on a podcast with fellow guest @Jeff R. Check it out:
RobB
That’s a solid record. I own both English/Japanese version LPs on the Denon label. Akira always got a great tone, more Blackmore than EVH. ETA: But it’s no, “Law of Devil’s Land.”
Steve Haynie
I skipped around listening to pieces of the show. Yup. Loudness was/is good. Jeff's colorful criticism is interesting.

LucSulla
I was really hoping this was going to be a discussion about the merits and disadvantages of boosting low and high frequencies in order to compensate for the perceived exaggeration of mid frequencies by the human ear when listening to music at lower volumes. That what have been really wild - a real missed opportunity here.

Submariner85
I owned Thunder in the East and Lightning Strikes a loooong time ago. They were awesome.
Jeff R
I'm not a Loudness fan, I'm an 80s Akira Takasaki tones fan. TITE hooked me and Lightning Strikes, man I could listen to that daily. It hits shop rotation at least one day monthly. Hell, if you saw my personal rig, old ESPs and a Boogie Mark III half stack, I do listen to LS daily in a way haha. Oddly enough, I had never even heard the record we reviewed until I agreed to take part. So that was cool for me.

I've got Lightning Strikes downstairs. Or at least it better be there; otherwise it's lost and gone. Not that I've played it in the last 25 years... Ima go check. Devnor
Big Loudness fan back in the day, got to see them on Thunder in the East tour. The few albums preceding TIET were great too.
