AHhh...  the Watson.  For me the Watson rules over the Virt in terms of what I would rather have.

I think over the last 15 years, I actually have seen more virts and scepter V’s for sale than Watson’s.

I never once saw the Korina standard with the Futura headstock up for sale.

Was gonna say Firebirds, both guitars and (Thunderbird ) basses. And a violin Hamer  bass. Never seen one for sale.

I have only seen a few FB's go up for sale over the years, Scepter V I think I've only seen two go up for sale. Watson 4-5 but yet again im looking for them more.

2001 I was in Japan for a business trip & asked around if there were any music stores that sold guitars near by. The only Hamer in the store was a Watson that had an head stock repair, flame maple top, I think it was about $1200, I was closing on my house two weeks later so I didn't spend the $, Kick myself all the time for not bring it back with me.

Last Scepter V that I've seen sold was two years ago almost to the day on eBay... it also seemed to generate a fair amount of buzz here... I believe it was a project V & that a member here Justkid won the auction... which reminds me,

Hey Justkid whatever happened to that?.. you ever start/finish that project? 😉

Other than the one I bought, I have not seen a sustain block blitz in the wild, although I know they made them.

Dooode, I bought this ugly dog on Ebay for less than cheap... & I must say, it's a great guitar!.. I've actually grown very fond of the paddle style headstocks & for the life of me, I can't get myself to refinish this guitar 😆

There’s quite a few rare ones that I’d like (but don’t need).

Watson’s pop up less than they did 5 years ago.  I’d love one one day.

Virts pop up periodically although they tend to be the same ones.  Great guitars.

Cali Customs (set necks) are also pretty rare as are FBs.

I’ve never seen a sustainblock-ed Virtuoso for sale —and they do exist; for example, Paul Hamer has one.

Watsons are very rare too.

And well... there are also a lot of unique Hamers with very specific features I’ve never seen for sale, but I guess it’s unfair including custom orders in this thread —such as my own 67 Schenker Vector, which I saw FS once, bought it, and now it’s very unlikely you’ll see it FS again.😉
