JimiH
Hi Guys back when I played electric (mostly acoustic these days) had the Jam up app which amongst other things would allow me to slow down but retain the pitch of songs or change the key in order to transcribe them. I gave up on it as more and more songs from Apple were protected, which made the app useless as I couldn’t import anything. Anyhow my son is a budding actor singer who regularly downloads backing tracks to perform with. He was complaining he couldn’t quite reach a note in a particular song which reminded me of that app. So anyone come across an app or software that would accomplish that these days? Cheers Geoff
alantig
VLC will do that. I believe it will also alter the temp and retain the pitch.
mathman
I use the CS6 version of Adobe Audition to do that. The Free Audacity app will also do it.
