bruce919
were those being built at the Hamer Factory at that time or still out in Arizona?
cmatthes
I didn’t think they were making Guild electrics in the USA then? Definitely not in New Hartford, as I recall.
hamersandstrats
Those were made in the USA-maybe Rhode Island. They had a P90 version too. On second thought, maybe they have the year wrong. I remember the USA ones being blown out by GC around 1999-2000.
cmatthes
Yeah - I think that’s a 1999 Guild?
polara
If that's an '02 it was made in Corona. Great guitars.
hamersandstrats
They are great guitars. I picked a used one up for a song at the local GC a few years ago. I believe the pickups were Duncan 59s. Compared to a Les Paul, the tone was brighter and slightly thinner, but still very nice. I sold it only because I had too many double bucker guitars. Thundersteel
If the serial number begins with "CL" it was made in Westerly, Rhode Island. They ended production there circa 2001. A "CM" serial number denotes California. I had two Westerly ones; great guitars! I foolishly sold both of them. Here's the latest one to go: Edit: Since I got my Studio EM, I don't miss the Bluesbird so much anymore.
merlin4
I just picked up this a GUILD BLUES 90's in very good condition. WWOO HOO FUN! A sleeper of a guitar. Now I get to play around with p90's for awhile.
