Willie G. Moseley
Performed on the back of a flatbed trailer on the main straightaway of Montgomery International Speedway out on the Old Selma Highway, 4 & 5 JUN 68. Would turn out to be their final concert tour. Details in next week's newspaper column (which will actually focus more on the automobile racing history--original 'Alabama Gang', etc.). Prolly won't have column/inch space to publish the photo Dig Jimmy Page's crushed velvet pants...

The body was refinished and trashed by a friend and the neck was put on the brown body used on In Through the Out Door and The Firm.
tbonesullivan
That was the Tele used to record the Stairway to Heaven solo. Then Jimmy bought No.1 from Joe Walsh and went on a U.S. tour, and some "friend" decided to refinish it. I saw a great Led Zeppelin all-female cover band last Sunday called LEZ ZEPPELIN, and their guitarist (who is amazing) had a Dragon Tele, as well as the requisite Les Paul bursts. And now, FENDER is recreating it: https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/28103-fender-and-jimmy-page-announce-signature-model-telecasters It is supposed to be released soon: https://www.fender.com/articles/gear/chasing-the-dragon-the-magical-mystery-of-jimmy-page-s-painted-telecaster
princeofdarkness56
Lez Zeppelin is a great band. A few players rotate in and out but if you saw the short blonde bass / keyboard player, she also has toured with Ghost.
