crunchee
No affiliation...IIRC, the other new Gibsons that DGS got in recently seem to have a reasonable weight IMO, but a LP Classic with a 9-hole weight-relieved body, weighing in at 10.6 POUNDS? Is it that heavy because it's supposed to be a commemorative 'Norlin' model, made with a leftover body blank from the bygone days of Henry, or just because it's a LP 'Classic' model? ? https://davesguitar.com/products/gibson-usa/les-paul-classic-translucent-cherry/

RobB
Seems like Gibson is saving single-pc, mahogany bodies for the high-end or CS guitars. Still, that Classic has very pretty lumber. Lotsa tonal options with the p/p pots...yikes!
Thundersteel
I recently sold my 10 lb Les Paul, and I'm definitely not missing the weight! I can't imagine playing anything heaver.
atomicwash
It doesn't have a fat, heavy neck with the slim taper profile.
