Dave Mustaine has throat cancer

Damn, Dave Mustaine was diagnosed with throat cancer...

Apparently he’s already begun treatment and projections are looking pretty good. Cancelling most of their summer shows, tho. I had tickets to see them this August in Aurora, just 10 minutes from where I live.

Love him or hate him, can’t argue with his influence in the metal scene. Hopefully he’ll get thru this and keep on thrashing.

That sucks.  I'm not really a fan, honestly, but agree that his influence is undeniable.

I know what he’s in for.  It’s not a smooth road. It hurts like hell to swallow your food and the radiation burns are very uncomfortable.

Bruce Dickinson got through it and came back.  Hope the same goes for DM

Dave's announcement sounds positive.  He will pull through.

Yes, "IBS" is normally reserved for the dead or dying.

Everyone starts dying the nanosecond they exit the womb.

So, IBS for all!

TGP deemed you a dewclaw, a total waste of skin and life.

Coming from them, it's a compliment.
Anyway, I'm in good company, ay?

Dewclaw?

Enlighten me please.

Dewclaws are claws on dogs and other mammals that grow in an elevated position on the back of their legs that don’t reach the ground. They are commonly removed on pets. They’re deemed useless and serve no purpose. Hence the comment “a total waste of skin and life.”

Almost correct. In dogs they are on the inner forearm of the front legs. They aid in takedown in a hunt. In pets, they hurt the masters in rough play because the dog instinctually wraps them around what they are playing with which may be your body parts.

GREAT POINT! Funny thing, I thought of that but figured we were applying this to pets... hence the “useless” bit LOL

There’s a thread going off the rails and down an embankment over in the Outer Circle if you’re interested.

Still, that is pretty crappy news.  The prognosis is good but the treatment SUCKS.

You see, I was under the impression that

IBS: not doing well

IRBS/RIBS: was not doing well, now dead

TDC: more death, sometimes out of nowhere.

All of this is some COCV right here...
