Are there any markings stamped onto the paper cone itself?  Sometimes there might be something there.  Also, it's possible that there is a cover on the magnet that can be removed.

The 6 vents makes me think U.S. manufacture. Celestion and Fane usually used 4 vents on their 12 inchers.

No more numbers seen on the speaker ...

Hmmmm...speaker codes are usually 6 digits and the first 3 identify the manufacturer.....I looked on the Weber speaker code lists and don’t see 507 anywhere so this is indeed a mystery!

How does it sound?

The most difficult question :-)

Weak, missing bass, lot higher frequencies... bass start early to "splash"

So it’s a POS!!! Hang it on your work bench and stick tools to the magnet to keep them handy... LOL

It looks sort of like an Eminence Redcoat that's seen better days, though the Redcoat frame has more struts and cutouts.

meanwhile I could answer it myself :-)

It should be a Goodmans made in England ( I´ve got a hint from a guy at ebay..)

Goodmans, AFAIK, didn't make guitar speakers.  They're primarily manufacturers of hi-fi speakers.  Could be that the speaker was designed to be in some sort of bass reflex enclosure which would enhance the bass.  It might well have been designed to reach way up into the midrange for use in a 2-way system.

Looks like it’s @ Goodman’s which also look like Celestine’s of the era.

Yes Goodman’s definitely made guitar speakers back then and HiFi speakers too.

The cone on that speaker looks like a Fane or Celestion though.
