Disturber
Very little info on the new Dimarzio P90's. This humbucker sized version seems un-potted. Price is fair. Thinking of trying it in the Newport. But a soundclip, a review, a little something about them would be nice. Anyone here tried them? Or have you seen any other info or review on them? https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/soap-bar/vintage-p90-full-size-humbucker-cover https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/soap-bar/vintage-p90-dog-ear https://www.guitarworld.com/gear/dimarzio-announces-new-vintage-p90-pickup " We use vintage tape, braided single-conductor hookup cable, and un-dipped coils." bubs_42
I'm a fan of Dimarzio Pickups, but when it comes to P90's Josh is my guy. Stay Tuned for more amazing stuff coming from Gravelin and Shishov in the coming months.
tbonesullivan
Stay tuned! Tomorrow, Dimarzio will invent double cream pickups, and the wheel! I mean, I like P90s. Love maybe even. But I don't really see how they could do much better than the multitude of versions already out there. I wonder why they decided to do this NOW, and not like 20 years ago. Jeff R
Probably because P-90s are hot again, at least it seems so with my running buddies. Remember those vividly-colored LP Studio Gems from the mid- to late 90s? You couldn't give those away when they were new. I sold this one on consignment in my shop for a client, to another client, in 24 hours. I was enjoying it so much, I hated to see it move that fast. Jakeboy
P90s are always HOT....at least in tone if you are looking to grind in the bridge. Even low wound bridge P90s rock hard.
