Bennyboy-UK
Hi all, Looks like from 26th November 2019, permits are un-required for finished musical instruments containing dalbergia (apart from Brazilian rosewood which remains on Appendix 1). Mr. Dave
The stupidity ends, good news. Still don't see why they're being so precious about the Brazillian variety, I bet they end up wasting tons of it. And I see places like this https://www.guitargal.com/collections/brazilian-rosewood-guitars-at-guitar-gallery-tn Amongst others re-defining the word extortion in their pricing for instruments made from Brazillian Rosewood. I bet there's really a healthy supply of it and like other comodities it's availabiity is being falsely kept sparse so that people with deep pockets can be royally shafted for little more than bragging rights.
