JGravelin
Chromes are the brightest of the flatwounds available but will eventually settle into a pleasing classic flatwound sound. I like them on my Guild Starfire II quite a bit. On Fender type/scale basses tho, IMHO...pretty hard to beat either the Sadowsky or the LaBella flat sets. Punkavenger
So I contacted the seller and he said that he had just put a set of EB power slinkys 110-55 on there. Evidently he did a lot of drop D tuning stuff. I thought those strings were fat ! (with a ph lol ) Anyway i ordered the LaBella's as per Josh's instruction ... Josh knows his shit It should be interesting to see how much of a difference the LaBella's make and also how much the truss rod will need to be adjusted. Punkavenger
90's .. I'm not sure exactly what year they started but I think 96 was the last year. The later 2Tec bridges were lighter than the original which could make the bass pretty heavy. I'd look for a 96. Good luck!
