Dutchman
We would play this for fun later in the evening when everyone was sufficiently juiced up. It soon became a bar sing along!!
Willie G. Moseley
Saw 'em open for Argent in '73 in Dothan, AL at the Houston County Farm Center (dirt floor). Singer introduced this song and lit up something onstage; claimed it was a joint. "And I'm Leaving" was an okay single for those times.
RobB
Never heard of ‘em or their, “novelty single.” The 70’s could suck in some very peculiar ways.
The Shark
Saw them play at the American Room for Halloween in 1978 or 1979 (I can't remember!). Indoor fireworks and great production for an A-list Florida venue. Elliot Rubinson played bass with them then. He owned Thoroughbred Music in Tampa and, later Dean Guitars and Armadillo Cases. Got to live out his dream and tour with UFO/Michael Schenker. Cancer sucks. A friend I miss...

Especially when you get a band from Florida using "motorcar" in their lyrics. Some clever lads, those wordsmithy White Witch boys were. And I'm leaving but I want you to know I'd like to stay but there's a cross I must tow Hop in my motorcar and on I must go Oh but I love you Oh but I love you so Just like a black I was sitting in the back And wherever I was I couldn't see what I was going through So I hopped on my cloud I was very very proud Couldn't find the ground while you pushed me on and on I'm overdue I would converse but though my hours are few Looks like the worst but there's so much I can do And so, my darling, here's champagne to you
