mfreyer Posted January 4, 2020 Share Posted January 4, 2020 I didn’t buy this brand new, but I’ve had it since, at latest, 2002. It has been gigged and played a bunch, but well cared for. There are little superficial playwear scratches/swirls all over, but nothing through the finish or otherwise serious. It is currently equipped with graphite saddles, and the originals are in the case (OHSC included). Jakeboy Posted January 5, 2020 Share Posted January 5, 2020 @gtone, myNewport being fully hollow feeds back quicker than my Artist, but is never out of control. Loud hard rock would not be a problem. It was one of the first things I noticed when I got mine. I was expecting it to scream uncontrollably with any serious gain. But it does not, regardless of what pickups I use in it.
