luis
Hello guys, long time no posting. I have seen an Echotone XT series. Would you let me know if it is worth getting it? Can you help me dating it? Some headstock pics https://ibb.co/T89w5qb https://ibb.co/Fg7TsQq Thanks in advance!
benjammin308
I've got one that I keep at my dad's cabin to plink around on while I'm there. It feels, looks and plays great, but I can't comment on the plugged in sound because I don't have an amp there. I think I paid about $300 for it and I'm no help with dating. You might be very happy if you can get it for the right price. That one looks like it needs some cleaning up so take that into consideration. scottcald
The import stuff serial numbers have no relation to when it was made. That said, I have an XT Monaco made in Indonesia that plays well. I put some spare Gibson pickups in it I had lying around. The stock ones weren't bad though.
luis
Thank you for your kind answers. I had read you Korean Echotones were goo but I am not so sure these Indonesian versions. I am not confident with them without trying before. I am pretty sure some parts must be exchanged by quality ones.
hamerhead
The Korean-made Echotones were first and pretty nice, the one to get if given a choice.
