mrjamiam
"At some point someone removed the paint on the edge of the body, exposing the wood along the entire edge of the body, which actually looks pretty good." Oh, so that's what happened.

stonge
looks like the elusive "Gumby" sig model. I'd love to see a photo of that bass in the original Hamer hardshell case - should be a nice tight fit like a BB in a boxcar. wonder why they left that photo out lol. and in a related PSA - some people shouldn't play with chainsaws. crunchee
It's not just anybody that can turn a '80's Hamer into a '80's Westone.

Steve Haynie
The case, tuners, bridge, knobs, pickups, pots, etc. are worth a hundred bucks. Hold out long enough for the right buyers for all of those items and they might bring in $350.

Biz Prof
Wth was the objective there? To convert it into a FB body shape? To eventually re-fin it in green and paint a Gumby face on it? To test the outer limits of drug-fueled creativity? Whatever the original goal, I'd certainly not describe the result as "uber cool."

Marvelicious
I'm thinking at that point you should just keep going and cut it down to Steinberg size...

A store I worked at back in the day had an A10... I always thought it couldn't be a coincidence that it shared a model number with something called a "Warthog". Completely different, yet somehow, equally ugly.
