Sustainblock ideas

Recommended Posts

Looking for feedback, if you could be so kind...

I picked up one of those Mann Sustainblocks and have been thinking of using it on a build like a Starcaster.

I haven’t any semi-hollows with string-through bridges. Is that even possible?

As long as you have a solid block underneath the bridge then it's possible for sure.

Thank you! That really makes it seem like it’s possible. Forgot about those

Well...   keep in mind that the artist was technically a semi-solid body or chambered solid body.

For a sustain block in a true semi hollow body guitar you just gotta make sure there’s a solid block under the bridge and you’d be fine.

This is why I was recently trying to figure out the differences between the hollow portions of the Artist and Duotone Custom.  The former was most often called semi-solid, the latter semi-hollow.

Wuff! That‘s a hot item! It calls for endless sustain and sound volume.
