crunchee
Apparently, these got lost in the move from Kalamazoo to Nashville. It's only been 40+ years (more or less) since they went missing, but better late than never: https://www.rollingstone.com/pro/news/gibson-search-shipping-ledger-reward-1027847/

DaveL
This would be a great episode of the blacklist where a shadowy cabal holding fake 59 les Paul’s wouldnt want the ledger found and will do whatever they can to stop it!
velorush
Anyone check with our favorite resident of that area (Michigan, that is)? I'm sure he can come up with ledgers... 🤨

Steve Haynie
At the time Gibson moved it was already known that the guitars on that ledger were collectible. Someone grabbed it for himself, and the person probably has to die before anyone will consider giving it up. But... Sometimes people do things that surprise us. Someone grabbed the original art from the Spider-man story in Amazing Fantasy # 15 years ago. Someone privately/secretly donated that art to the Library of Congress where you can now request to see it.
Jeff R
If the ledger is held together with a three-point staple, it is likely a Chinese counterfeit ledger.
HAMERMAN
If it does turn up it will make some owners very happy and will probably make a lot more owners very unhappy!
