Bill (HHB) does a great presentation with these demos, and its clear that 1) he knows a wide variety of styles and songs, 2) he Really knows that guitars abilities. I forgot to mention the Gravlin pickups in the other pots I did. When I first read about them being custom matched to that guitar I thought "Yeah Ok, I've heard that statement before"....But...this is the first time I can believe it. The Gravelin pickups and the way they're wired in really do match that guitar. When it comes to crafting a fine guitar or bass, Every Detail, Every Choice of wood, hardware and placement is a factor. Everything makes a difference. Deciding on a custom instrument is a difficult decision because its not prebuilt and hanging in a store ready to try first. Gambling on hoping it will turn out the way you envisioned is a scary trigger to pull; ......these things aren't cheap. What we had in the Hamer Custom Shop was an almost guaranteed result of perfection if not better. Thankfully, we have Mike, who has carried on the tradition, and up a notch or two. While I haven't heard the SC Custom or the Super C, I'll guess and say that the three together cover almost any musical genre. So, as I patiently wait to see if Mike decides to build a bass, I'll enjoy all the guitars he does. NOTES: Hey Bill: Sorry I didn't put 2 and 2 together - fixed it. Yup, I've known about HHB for a very long time, I plead old, & naïve and I may need a defense counselor. And damn, I've been on the HFC since 2004!!!
