Looks more like Alder. Great looking bass and a good deal to me!

Alder.  My main Cruisebass is 13 numbers earlier than that but in a trans Blonde finish.  

Great bass!

Hey, thanks! The bass player in my side project / band bought it. The bass is in great shape... not near new as described, but definitely excellent condition. It’s lightweight also - big plus at our age.

The original HSC is about an inch too wide in the body. That’s kind of strange.

That sounds odd about the case.  Got any pics?   My '96 (and my son's '95) fit snugly in their original issued cases.

The case is stamped Hamer USA. I suppose he'll find a spacer.
